It's Back! The Gala Returns After 10 Years!

Baton Rouge, LA — After a decade-long hiatus, the Friends of the Capitol Park Museum is
proud to announce the return of one of its signature events—the annual gala! This year’s gala,
themed ‘Legacy and Luminescence’, will take place on Saturday, July 26, 2025, from 7:00 to
11:00 PM. The event will take place on the grounds of the Capitol Park Museum, offering a night
of elegance, celebration, and community engagement.

This year’s theme, Legacy and Luminescence, is a tribute to the past that has shaped us and
the brilliance that guides our future. Rooted in Louisiana’s vibrant cultural history and inspired by
the individuals and institutions who protect it, the event celebrates the powerful connection
between history and progress.

“We are thrilled to bring this beloved event back to the community after ten years,” said Griffin
Landry, President of the Capitol Park Friends. “The Legacy and Luminescence Gala will be a
night to remember—a celebration of the Museum’s mission, its supporters, and Louisiana’s
extraordinary story.”

The gala serves as a major fundraiser for the Museum, directly supporting educational
programming, exhibit development, and community outreach initiatives. Sponsorship and
partnership opportunities are now available, offering businesses and organizations the chance
to align with a respected cultural institution and engage with an influential audience.
