The Membership Committee is responsible for maintaining the already-existing membership as well as increasing said membership. As such, said committee may organize annual events purporting to increase membership as well as honor and/or recognize already-existing members.
The Education Committee is responsible for maintaining the already-existing programs as well as increasing involvement and program development. As such, said committee may organize annual events purporting to increase education and involvement.
The Fundraising Committee shall meet and prepare a projected fundraising goal for the following fiscal year prior to the Annual Meeting. The projected goal shall include sufficient details for each line item to assure understanding by the directors of all expenses. The budget shall be submitted to the board for approval at the Annual Meeting.
The Public Relations Committee of the Friends of Capitol Park Museum is dedicated to enhancing the organization’s visibility, reputation, and engagement within the community. Comprised of passionate individuals with expertise in communication, marketing, and media relations, the committee plays a crucial role in promoting the mission and activities of the Friends of Capitol Park Museum.
This committee maintains social media posts, digital graphics, and print materials for events, initiatives, and programs.
The Nominating Committee shall conduct other meetings as they deem appropriate including such meetings with proposed nominees as deemed appropriate. Reporting requirements of the Nominating Committee are defined in ‘Article VII. Nominations and Elections’ section of the Friends’ bylaws.
The Advisory Committee of the Friends of Capitol Park Museum serves as a valuable resource and source of guidance for the organization, drawing upon the wisdom, experience, and expertise of senior board members in their last term and wish to continue their involvement on an the Advisory Board after leaving. The Advisory Committee provides strategic insights, mentorship, and support to current executive board members and leadership.
