The Inaugural World AIDS Day Red Gala will celebrate the progress made in the fight against HIV, while honoring the lives of those impacted by this virus. The theme for the gala is “Shine Bright: Illuminating Hope for an HIV-Free World.”
Live performances featuring Ongina (RuPaul’s Drag Race), local DJs, and mouth-watering food and drinks from the best local restaurants to dazzle attendees. The gala also raises awareness about providing local support and resources. Baton Rouge Pride helps to support the Louisiana Department of Health’s commitment to educating the community about HIV, and is proud to have the community’s support in this effort.
Our goal for the Red Gala is to bring attention to the work being done to address the needs of People living with HIV, particularly in Baton Rouge, where the rate of new HIV diagnoses is among the highest in the country. By coming together for this event, we can demonstrate our commitment to making a difference and creating a world where an HIV diagnosis is no longer stigmatizing.
Join us for this unforgettable evening and support those in our community living with or impacted by HIV. Together, we can make a difference and bring hope to those affected by this global epidemic. The public may visit www.brpride.org to secure your free tickets today.
Credentialed media may RSVP by sending an email to chrisb@brpride.org (please include affiliate/outlet, names of journalists or photos to attend, special needs). Limited parking is available for media and remote broadcast vehicles.
